He focuses on a range of topics, including virtualization, IT leadership, security, cloud computing, professional services, business intelligence and more.

A lively onstage and onscreen presence, Joe is one of the industry’s most in-demand hosts, creating and leading more than 100 face-to-face and Web events a year for audiences worldwide. He has created, programmed and hosted numerous highly successful full-day events, including the Annual CIO Summit, Virtualization Summit, Storage Summit, and Security Summit. He writes the popular “Facing IT” blog for eWEEK and is a twice-weekly columnist for www.SmarterTechnology.com.

Prior to joining Ziff Davis Enterprise in 2004, Maglitta served in senior content leadership roles at Computerworld, Information Week, Mainspring Communications and Digital Review. He also worked as Account Director at PR agency Schwartz Communications, and as a respected independent journalist and researcher contributing to Red Herring, Sloan Management Journal, SAP Info, State Tech, Ed Tech, Fed Tech and many other top publications.

Joe holds a B.A. in Journalistic Studies/English from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst, and has done graduate coursework at Boston College (Philosophy, Psychology), Boston University (Advanced Communications), Northeastern University (Technical Communications) and St. John’s Seminary (Philosophy, Theology). He lives with his family in Cambridge, Mass., and parks his car near Harvard Yard.
